Welcome to the end of April 2022, and with that, we bring you some of the hottest gaming news from the month:

Max Payne Remake

On 6th April 2022, Game developer Remedy Entertainment announced that they had reached an agreement with Rockstar games to remake the first two Max Payne games using its proprietary Northlight Game Engine, which will be funded by Rockstar games.

Unreal Engine

After about 2 years since its initial announcement, Epic Games has released its much-awaited next-generation Game Engine: Unreal Engine 5. While the Game Engine has just been released, some games and demos have already been released with the help of Unreal Engine 5. Check out the Release Keynote

EA

According to various reports, a new Need For Speed game is coming later this year in November, after it was delayed by EA from a planned 2021 launch. The game will reportedly be on current generation consoles only.

EA and Codemasters have also announced that their brand new official Formula 1 game, F1 22, will be released worldwide on July 1st, with pre-orders available right now. It will be available with full VR support on PC. Check out the announcement trailer.

House Of The Dead

Forever Entertainment has announced that they are working on a House Of The Dead remake for PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Google Stadia. Check out the announcement trailer.

Sony and Xbox introducing ads

After reports have surfaced this week that Microsoft might introduce ads to its Free-To-Play (FTP) games on Xbox, Business Insider has also reported that Sony’s Playstation is also planning to do the same. The reasoning behind this, according to experts, could be to incentivise more developers to make free-to-play games, as it will generate a revenue stream without depending on micro-transactions.

Splatoon 3

Through the latest trailer of the highly popular game, Nintendo has revealed that Splatoon 3 will be released on September 9 2022. 

AMD new graphics cards

AMD has quietly launched a series of new low power Radeon RX 6400 GPUs for a price range below $200.
