All the things announced at WWDC22:

Software releases:

iOS 16:

Apple’s newest iOS 16 has significant changes to the lock screen, as was expected. Some mentionable ones are more personalization options, active widgets, piled-up notifications in the lock screen that now show up more neatly as they roll up from the bottom, and widget-style Infocard that updates info live. Many other cool additions to the lock screen have been added by Apple. iMessage now allows editing or deleting a sent message alongside other required features like marking a conversation as unread. Live text with videos is an excellent feature that’s going to be super helpful for students.

macOS Ventura:

A new app management feature, ‘Stage Manager,’ can now put all open apps on the left side and show the app you are working on right now at the centre. Improvements to spotlight search, mail client, search, and Safari have been added. You can now use your iPhone as a webCam for your Mac with a cool feature named desk view.

iPadOS 16:

Multitasking has been Apple’s main focus behind iPadOS 16 as it comes with all the new features from iOS 16 and some macOS features as well. iPadOS finally has a full-blown weather app. Stage Manager from macOS comes to iPadOS as well. And finally, you can work on an external display without everything on the iPad being mirrored to that display.

watchOS 9:

New watch faces, refreshed Siri UI, sleep stages that can analyze sleep cycles, and tracking medications with watchOS 9 and other cool health features have been added with watchOS 9.

CarPlay:

The redesigned CarPlay looks awesome and comes with many looks. At this point, other manufacturers must redesign their car dash from the ground up to compete with Apple’s CarPlay.

Hardware releases:

Apple M2:

The second generation of Apple silicon that will power the macs is more powerful and efficient than the M1. Apple M2 is not as powerful as the M1 pro or max variants, but we are not comparing it to its rightful predecessor, the M1. M2 now comes with 24GB of unified memory, an 8-core CPU, up to a ten-core GPU and much more memory bandwidth. Forget all the technical jargon and listen to what Apple itself claims. Compared to the M1, Apple M2 shows 18% faster CPU performance and 35% faster GPU performance according to their industry-standard benchmarks.

MacBook Air M2:

Apple’s newest MacBook comes in 4 colours, has the MagSafe power connector, two thunderbolt ports, a 3.5mm headphone jack, 13.6inch liquid retina display with a notch. This time the MacBook Air comes with a dual USB-C power adapter which delivers 35 watts. You can also get the 67-watt charger for a 50% charge in 30 minutes.

MacBook Pro M2:

It looks the same as the previous iteration, with just an M2 inside replacing the M1.
