Heartstopper is a Netflix original British coming-of-age romantic comedy series based on Alice Oseman’s webcomic and graphic novel series of the same title. The series, written by Oseman herself, focuses on Charlie Spring (Joe Locke), a gay teenager who falls in love with classmate Nick Nelson (Kit Connor).
A simple story that feels vital in today’s climate, it is one of Netflix’s best teen series brought to life onscreen with the help of drawings and doodles from the graphic novels. The adaptation is so wholesome, it feels like a warm hug.
